The new Intuit Dome, home of the LA Clippers, opened for the 2024-2025 season in the Inglewood neighborhood of Los Angeles. As part of a multidisciplinary team, HDS provided landscape architectural services to the main entry plaza, a large sunken garden, as well as all landscape areas within the dome. A large shade structure (trellis) was designed and coordinated by Hood Design to protect visitors to the large entry plaza from the intense sun of Los Angeles. Additionally, the landscape design included two large parking structures located on two off-site nearby locations to service the arena. The project required rigorous detailing for all outdoor elements, including two green roofs, interior on-structure planters, an outdoor basketball court and seating, a significant detention green stepping wall to create the sunken garden, and inputs from a large stakeholder group.
